Structure your material (be it knowledge, thoughts, or opinions) into a logical sequence or order. Don't try for the final article in the first draft. Just let your mind, and words, to breath and get some words down on paper. This may happen in a single session, for lengthier articles, it may be done in various rough draft sessions maybe broken into logical sections of what will eventually evolve into your finished article.

Now that the body of words that you have written is "technically clean" from a spelling/grammar stance and you have satisfied yourself with the organization, its time to perform the final styling or polishing to confirm readability (that may or may not be a word, but I'll claim poetic authority and go ahead and use it). Read your article out loud to yourself and grasp a feel for the emphasis or rhythm. The readability of the whole article can be altered by changing the sequence of words and/or alternating one like-meaning word for another. The supreme goal is to attract readership.
